Caterpillar Ministries is a nondenominational Christian organization in the Huntington Green community in Huntersville. It began in 2007 as a grassroots project to share the love of Jesus to a handful of children and families. Today, they serve 450 diverse children and adults with year-round programming. Through genuine relationships, they offer spiritual guidance, education/tutoring and mentoring programs, crisis care (including a food pantry), and advocacy support. In their 14th year, staff and volunteers continue to forge friendships and trust based on mutual respect. Neighbors feel safe, know they are seen and loved, and have begun valuing safe housing and education for their children.
