10 Great Things about PCF Gala This Year!

We are dressing up for the first time since 2017 – no casual Friendsgiving this year – we are doing “creative semi-formal” with an emphasis on the color green. Or stuff your pockets with green, that works too!

1. It’s the first one (because of Covid) since 2019!

2. It’s the 20th (or 21st, depending on how you calculate it) anniversary of the PCF – our “Emerald” anniversary.

3. We are dressing up for the first time since 2017 – no casual Friendsgiving this year – we are doing “creative semi-formal” with an emphasis on the color green. Or stuff your pockets with green, that works too!

4. From 5:30 to 7:00, we are doing a bourbon or tequila tasting in the Lakeside Room. If you guess correctly, you could win a basket of rare bourbons or tequilas – ones we had to go out-of-state and raid friends’ collections for – those not found in the ABC store!

5. The Brightside Band is playing – and we are all groupies of Marshall, Rob, Patrick et al.!

6. Wine and Tito’s ring toss – win great bottles by showing off your disc golf accuracy.

7. The live auctioneer (really, really cute – and in a cowboy hat) will give you the chance to bid against your best friends for amazing trips and experiences.

8. Baskets of rare bourbon and wine may show up in the auction, as well as a show-stopping emerald necklace.

9. If you buy a Golden Ticket, and get lucky, you could win one of the auction items for only $100! Up your chances by buying more tickets, because ticket sales are limited.

10. At the heart of it all, we are doing this for all the local charities we all support, the ones that fall below the United Way threshold, and make a huge difference in Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville – our community.

PCF is committed to helping local nonprofit organizations develop and expand not only through direct financial contributions but with their entire mission. We work alongside them to increase marketing and PR, improve fundraising efforts, enhance volunteer recruitment, expand their presence in the community and improve their strategic planning and corporate governance. Our recipient organizations benefit not only from our financial contribution, but from the direct involvement of PCF Board Members, neighbors, and volunteers in the Peninsula and Cornelius community. PCF is uniting a generous community. Take your first step in joining this community and help the Peninsula be stronger together as we empower the work of nonprofit organizations.
