A message to all our Generous Neighbors!

While our annual gala won't be happening this year, what can’t be canceled is the incredible need of our local charities. The PCF is relying on our generous neighbors support in lieu of our Friendsgiving Gala. Here’s how you can still help!

PCF board members, Pam Varghese and Susan Hartman are
getting our Red Bows ready for you!

For twenty years the annual Peninsula Community Foundation gala has been much more than our signature event. It has been a way to gather all of you, our generous neighbors, together to participate in our largest fundraiser of the year.

Unfortunately, while we’re encouraged to see Covid 19 cases on the decline in our area, with the restrictions of Mecklenburg County regulations still in place, the PCF board has made the decision to cancel this year’s Friendsgiving Gala. The health and safety of our neighbors is paramount.

What can’t be canceled is the incredible need of our local charities. So, to continue to meet the needs of these charities, the PCF is relying on our generous neighbors support in lieu of our Friendsgiving Gala. Here’s how you can still help!

  1. The PCF original Golden Ticket raffle! Tickets are $100 each or 5 for $400. Each ticket purchased enters you in a chance to win one of ten amazing experiences - THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER.
  2. The support of our auctions has consistently been a huge success at our annual galas. However, if you are not interested in purchasing golden tickets, or are feeling extra generous, you can donate to the PCF here.
  3. And finally, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the PCF we are bringing back our Red Bow Campaign. For a suggested donation of $100 you’ll receive a beautiful red bow to display on your mailbox throughout the holiday season. You can purchase your red bow here.

We hope you will once again support the PCF so we can continue the work we do with our local charities. Your generosity makes all the difference! And please mark your calendars for next year’s Friendsgiving Gala on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

PCF is committed to helping local nonprofit organizations develop and expand not only through direct financial contributions but with their entire mission. We work alongside them to increase marketing and PR, improve fundraising efforts, enhance volunteer recruitment, expand their presence in the community and improve their strategic planning and corporate governance. Our recipient organizations benefit not only from our financial contribution, but from the direct involvement of PCF Board Members, neighbors, and volunteers in the Peninsula and Cornelius community. PCF is uniting a generous community. Take your first step in joining this community and help the Peninsula be stronger together as we empower the work of nonprofit organizations.
